Coupons give discounts to customers submitting the coupon code.

Coupon codes must be published from you (ie in webhosting forums) or be emailed to selected customers.

Coupons can apply to all, current or only to new customers. Once a coupon code is published, anyone can use it (with respect to the all, current, new limitation).

Coupon codes do not automatically appear in your website, only insiders can submit them.

A Discount is applied to existing customers. You can add a 50% or 30% or whatever discount for any customer(s). However you can not limit it to specific products.

Discount tokens are like Coupons but they are strictly personal and --even when published-- only the customer(s) for which they are created can use them plus you have the option to email them to selected customers using the ALP admin interface.

Specials apply to all purchasers and are mostly used to combine offers or to promote sales in general:
- Buy a hosting plan and get one free
- Buy a hosting plan XYZ an get the domain name for free
Specials are always listed in your website and apply automatically during the checkout process.
